The Conestoga Program

The Conestoga Program with developed from the concept of the Conestoga wagon train.  The wagon train consisted of a long chain of wagons moving together and forming a line.  The wagon train allowed pioneers to travel together for safety and supply sharing.

A neighborhood is much like a wagon train, it is made up of families who live individually, but are part of a larger community.  As an individual or family, you have unique goals, but often as a community those goals are more easily achieved with greater support.

Sandusky, Ohio is a small city that is home to one of the most beautiful collections of historical architecture in the Midwest. Sandusky was founded in 1818 and it's population grew quickly throughout the 19th century. During this time German and Irish stonecutters were attracted to the area to fill the city's building needs. Most of the earliest buildings in Sandusky were carved from limestone (which can be found just a little more than a foot below the ground in most sections of town).

When Cedar Point's white sand beaches made it a popular vacation spot in the late 1800's Sandusky's population grew even more rapidly. Industry was attracted by the location on the Sandusky Bay with easy access to Lake Erie. All of these factors caused people to make Sandusky their home. Their architectural styles reflect the cultures from which they came. This lasting influence can still be seen in the buildings of Historical Downtown.

Touted the Walleye Capitol of the world, Port Clinton, Ohio is situated on  the shores of beautiful Lake Erie.

Port Clinton is a small community with many amenities including excellent schools, medical and health services. Housing is varied – from historic homes overlooking the beach to newer developments for first time homeowners. Condos on the lake offer dockage for boaters.

Wake up to the sound of waves lapping on the beach. Enjoy the summer sun rising and setting over the lake. Take a walk at lunch time and greet the friendly residents of this lovely and historic community. Visit the Performing Arts Center for the classical music series. Watch the ferry boats loaded with excited tourists heading to the Lake Erie Islands for a day or two of fun. Or, be on your own boat within minutes of leaving the office.
